Malezi Centre Project
Current Project
The Malezi Centre Project is an early childhood development (ECD) initiative aimed at improving access to safe, inclusive, and community-driven daycare services for young children in Tanzania. The project focuses on supporting communities to establish and manage Community-Based Daycare Centres (CBDCs) that promote holistic growth, learning, and protection for children during their early years.
IDYDC is implementing this project as part of a national effort coordinated by the Tanzania Early Childhood Development Network (TECDEN), with funding support from Echidna Giving. The project contributes directly to national priorities on Early Childhood Development and child well-being.
Project Goal
To improve access to quality, inclusive, and community-led early childhood care and development services for children aged 2–5 years, while empowering families and communities to support children’s holistic growth.
