Who We Are
Iringa Development of Youth, Disabled, and Children Care (IDYDC) is a local Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) headquartered in Iringa Municipality, in the southern highlands of Tanzania. The organization is registered under Registration No. ooNGO/R1/00438 in accordance with Section 11(3) of Act No. 24 of 2002.
For over 35 years, IDYDC has expanded its work across multiple regions including Iringa, Njombe, Dodoma, Mbeya, and Dar es Salaam. Our programs focus on empowering vulnerable youth, people with disabilities, children, and communities through sustainable solutions that promote self-reliance, dignity, and social equity.

IDYDC envisions a community free from disease, poverty, ill-health, and social inequity, where human rights are respected and every individual lives with dignity and opportunity.
Mission & Values
Our Mission
IDYDC exists to improve the living standards of beneficiaries in the Iringa Region and other parts of Tanzania by establishing rehabilitation and vocational training centers, a Football for Hope Centre, health education, care and support services, a community radio station (Nuru FM), entrepreneurship support, gender equality initiatives, child labor prevention, environmental protection, water and sanitation programs, and other activities aligned with the organization’s objectives.
