Join the movement! IDYDC, in collaboration with Digital Opportunity Trust, and the Mastercard Foundation is proud to announce that applications are now open for the Youth Leadership Program 2026-2027.
Why Join the Program?
As a participant, you will be equipped with digital skills and social impact acumen, enhancing your ability to influence socio-economic development.
You will undergo 3 weeks of extensive training to prepare for your role as a facilitator, coach, and changemaker.

About the Going Beyond Project
The Going Beyond - Partnering for a Youth-Led Future project is a partnership between DOT and the Mastercard Foundation that aims to scale DOT’s evidence-based, peer-to-peer model across four African countries: Côte d’Ivoire, Malawi, Zambia, and Tanzania.
Over five years, and with the support of DOT regional hubs in Africa, the project will transfer responsibility for delivering programs and equip youth as leaders of the future.
Eligibility Criteria
Please ensure you meet all the following requirements before applying.
Age & Nationality
Between 18 to 35 years of age and a Tanzanian National/Resident.
Education
A recent university or college graduate from accredited institutions with a certificate, diploma, or bachelors degree (between 6 months to 5 years since graduation).
Location
Currently a resident of Iringa, where the project will be implemented.
Availability
Available for the full duration of the program from 5th May to 5th December 2026.
Commitment
Ready to undergo 3 weeks of intensive training and serve as a peer-to-peer leader.
Tools
Possess basic computer skills and have access to a smartphone or laptop.

Deployment Note: Youth Leaders will participate in program activities within their own communities. IDYDC does not require relocation, supporting local leadership development.

Commitment to Integrity
The Youth Leadership Program recruitment is free of charge. IDYDC does not request any payment at any stage of the application or placement process.
Non-graduates, those still in academic training, and individuals currently in full-time or part-time employment will not be considered.
